In-home Dinner Experiences by Our Chef

We were born out of a love for not following rule books and creating something with traditional roots, but with a modern expression.

Alter stems from the word 'alternative' and suggests exactly that -- an alternative way of doing things.

We offer Jew-ish Mexican inspired cuisine via an in-home dining experience for groups of 8-12 people.

The signature offering includes 5 courses of our Chefs favorite dishes. While we can make slight edits, or provide a custom menu for special occasions, the signature offering always leaves stomachs full, tables buzzing and good times all around.

Our founder, Jeremy Everakes is delighted to cook for you and your loved ones via boutique in-home dinner parties between 8-12 people. The private dinner experience is designed to share a meal with friends and family. This includes an exciting 5 course meal where Jeremy will share with you his vision behind his dishes and how they came to be.

Growing up in Los Angeles, having rolled his first matzo ball at the age of 5, his passion for cooking grew from there. Jeremy’s grandmother had many family members that settled in Mexico and shared with him all about their Jewish culture in Mexico city, including the food. From there his idea for a Jewish/ Mexican inspired culinary experience was created.

We wanted something with a rebellious attitude. While still providing a high-end sophisticated service that tells the story of our rich history. To us, Alter represents; family, new-traditions and legacy. Combining Jewish food traditions and Mexican flavors, Alter is the intersection of two cuisines, delivering you culinary excellence.

What to expect:

While you sit back and relax in the comfort of your own home with your loved ones, allow us to set up, dish up, and clean up the food.

We use your kitchen, but we bring the essentials. From cultery to table cloth we bring the experience to your dining room table.

Think of us as a hybrid between personal chef + special occasion caterer - providing you with a unique experience.

What you will need:

• A kitchen with an oven, stove top and fridge space

• Dining table/chairs for your party size (8-12)

• Plates, bowls and cutlery + any additional table setting items you like

Note:

If you would like us to bring plates and cutlery please enquire. We have table setting/styling available upon special request.

For larger parties please contact us for a custom quote and smaller menu options for popup events.

Due to the nature of our experience and prep time involved we do not serve the signature offering to parties larger than 12 to ensure quality is never jeopardized.
